Granada is easily accessed by car and public transport, and happens to be fairly well located to provide access to the other cities and tourist destinations around Nicaragua.

There's something for everyone to do; for yogis, there are numerous yoga studios that offer private retreats, as well as spas to give you that vacation glow.

Adventure seekers can visit Livit Water and try their hand at stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), or even try an hour-long yoga session on a SUP. They offer numerous tours as well around the many bodies of water in the Granada area. Other adventures are tree-top zip-lining, trail trekking up Mombacho, or even trying your hand at a horseback riding tour to visit a Cacao plantation through Chocomuseo. The Choco Museum also offers a lot of tours that cater to the children: chocolate making classes are a big hit!

If city sightseeing is more your cup of tea, try booking a tour to the nearby cities of San Juan del Sur for some awesome waves and surfing, or Leon if you're more historically and architecturally inclined. Granada's capital of Managua is a shopper's paradise with lots of fabulous high-end stores.

For those who prefer environmentally friendly options, try visiting Las Isletas or Corn Island for some green, eco- and self-sustainable tours that also help the local economy and populace.
